Early-stage investment scene good in US and India too: Promod Haque, NVP
Promod Haque i s a managing partner at the global risk capital firm Norwest Venture Partners that manages a corpus of $3.2 billion. In a two-decade long career as a venture capitalist, Haque has closed nearly 58 deals, with an estimated value of $30 billion in exits from these companies. He has been ranked a top investor on the annual Forbes Midas List for nine years. Apart from technology companies such as Cerent, acquired by Cisco, and Siara Systems in the US, he has backed India-focused online ventures such as Sulekha.com and Yatra. In the last two years, NVP has made about 25 early-stage investments in India from its $1.2-billion global fund that was raised in 2010.
